About
Australia Pay Calculator is a set of free calculators that show what Australian employees and contractors are paid after tax. Every result shows its working, and every rate links back to the Australian Taxation Office or the other official source it comes from.
Who runs this site
This site is run by Australia Pay Calculator. It is independent and is not affiliated with the Australian Taxation Office, the Fair Work Ombudsman or any other government agency.
How the calculators are built
- One calculation engine powers every calculator and every worked example on the site, so figures cannot disagree between pages.
- All rates sit in data files for each financial year (2025–26 and 2026–27), copied from ATO pages and recorded with each page’s last-updated date. Rates were last checked on 12 October 2026.
- Automated tests check the engine against the ATO’s own worked examples and published sample data, and every bracket and threshold boundary, before any change goes live.
- Where the ATO has not yet published a figure, the site says so rather than estimating it.
- Rates are updated each 1 July, and changes are recorded in the change log on the methodology page.
Your privacy
Calculations run in your browser. The amounts you enter are not sent to us or to anyone else. The privacy policy has the detail.
How the site is funded
The calculators are free to use. The site does not currently carry advertising or affiliate links. If that changes, advertising will never be placed above a calculator’s result.
